Florida Legends Car Tourong series Race Citrus 10/2009 Race Car

Oct. 2009 Florida Touring Series Race Citrus County Speedway the first time Cody's been back on the track in two months as it took that long to get his motor rebuilt. Was great to be back at the track for sure.

There was a practice session Friday evening the night before the race and was the first time we had the motor under load on the track. Well our luck with motors continued as we had oil leaks all over the place to fix so we didn't get much track time. The time spent working on the motor took away from having time to work on setting the car up for the track.

Saturday , race day I went to the track early to finishing working on fixing the oil leaks, Cody got to sleep in. We replace the valve cover gasket and had a bolt break so we had to cobb a replace bolt up with the hope it won't leak.

With no time to work on car set up cost Cody during the race as we had the wrong gear in the car and didn't have the time to change it.The wrong gear was my fault I never even stopped to think the FJ1200 would need a different rear gear than the FJ1250, we know now.

All in all it was great to be back at the track, great to see Cody back in the car and we now have all the issue's with the motor fixed (knock on wood) so we should ready for the next race.
