Thanks to BTK Motorsports, Butch at Race Sport.net for the awsome Arrow Kart 4S Cody races in the Supercan class. Corey Reeves for providing the awesome motor.
Friday: Was a practice day we arrived about 11:00 ready to practice the Supercan. We had a great afternoon of practice without mishap. Nice relaxing day at the track.
Saturday, Race day: We got in two practices early Sat. morning, Cody looked to be flying and the out look was good for the pre final and final. We made some minor changes and put Cody's newly rebuilt carb. and new tires, clutch on for qualifying. Before going out we tried to start the kart and it won't start with a lot of help from other racers we changed carbs and finally got the kart started, so much for the newly rebuilt carb. Mean while qualifying for Supercan class started so Cody only got two in but still managed to capture third place of out 12 kids to qualify.
Prefinal: Ten laps Cody ran third and held that position so he could start behind the fastest Supercan kid on the grid. Even though we where still having carb. problems did a great job turning the fastest laps of all the supercans.
Final: Our car. Problems continued Cody got a horrible start but all turned out well with a second place finish giving up first to Jacob who's home track is Jax. Cody's goal this year is to win the over all state championship in the Supercan class this year so he is in good shape in second place 25 points behind first. Next we go to Homestead, Moroso, Monticello, and finally Ocal Grand Prix.
All in all it was a great day of racing, Cody took care of his equipment so racing next weekend at Ocala Grand Prix at a club race will require very little work to get the kart ready.
