Nov. 2011 Cody gets Three Wins !!

 

Nov. 2011 proved to be a great month for Cody racing with three wins and his first races in a dirt car at Bubba Raceway Park. We had Cody's limited late model up at Dennis shop having the dash lowered for better visiabilty from the drivers seat. With that done Cody will be racing at Aurburndale race track 50 lap sportsman race Dec. 10th, 2011. It will be Cody's first time back in the car sense having it worked on and we are hoping for great results.

Cody got back in a kart for his first real kart race in years to race the first Inverness Grand Prix 2011 a street race in which he raced tag. Was one of the most exciting race's I've seen in years and Cody came home being King of the Streets in Inverness with the win in Tag.

 

Cody bought himself a dirt kart and has been racing FRiday nights locally at Burbank Speedway dirt track. In Nov. he came home with two wins and a second place finish. Not bad for someone with very little experience racing a dirt kart.

Cody has always raced on asphalt so the move to dirt was a big leap as the driving skills required are completely different on dirt. We bought Cody a thunder stock dirt car with a 350 in it to race at Bubba Raceway Park on weekends he's not racing the limited late model. Sense Bubba's track is only 15 minutes from home we figured we should take advantage of it being so close. Cody has raced the dirt car twice now and shows great improvement with every lap even thou he gets no practice or testing time in the car. The move to dirt part time will get Cody a lot more seat time in a full size race car and hopefully make him a better driver on asphalt. Bubba's is done for the 2011 race season but we will be going back soon as the 2012 season starts.
